Today we add a new group to the list of Rolex receivers, the New Zealand Fisheries Research Division. Not exactly romantic, especially when compared to Latin militia men or blue-blooded GI's, but this is exactly the type of story we love. The caseback of this vintage Submariner (ref 5513) is inscribed with "FRD15". We don't know if Rolex themselves made the watches for these Fish loving Kiwis, or if they were later inscribed after purchase cheap coach bags, but either way, a very cool Submariner that you absolutely will not see again for a while.
