The independently-run Pitchfork Festival announced the dates for this years events today. The three day festival will take place July 15-17 at Chicago’s Union Park. Tickets will go on sale starting Friday March 4, 2011. The three day pass will run at $110, while single day tickets will cost $45. Keep an eye on the calender if you plan on going, because the three day passes usually sell out within the first week! No official lineup has been announced yet, but we’ll keep you posted.
The Pitchfork Music Festival has become one of the premiere music events over the past few years. Crowds of over 50,000 fans come each year. The come from all over the nation and globe to see previous headlining acts such as: Vampire Weekend, Fleet Foxes, Band of Horses, Bon Iver, Animal Collective, Pavement, Public Enemy, Sonic Youth, Modest Mouse, LCD Soundsystem, The Jesus Lizard, and The Flaming Lips.
